At Equinoctial Spring 50+ Trips, you have a team that cares about you and wants you to feel confident exploring the world at any stage of life. Each trip is planned for both adventure and comfort and our goal is to create experiences that bring joy, discovery, and a sense of connection while showing you Ecuador’s most beautiful hidden gems.

This company is an initiative of “Hogar Abuelita Fany” retirement home, a family business with more than 10 years committed to the care of older adults. With this in mind, we offer a new chapter of experiences, mainly designed for individuals over 50, to take on journeys that go beyond the ordinary, with immersive experiences that value community and well-being.

What are our accommodations like?

4-5 star hotels with double rooms, with warm and attentive staff, air conditioning, wi-fi and private bathroom.

What is the nurse’s role?

You have access to a registered nurse 24/7, in case of illness, falls, allergies, stings, bites.

You'll also fill out a pre-trip condition form; for the nurse to be ready for anything you may need; and for you to have the best experience.

What is the weather like?

Ecuador has four astonishing distinct biomes.
-Along the Coast and the Galapagos Islands, you can expect a humid subtropical climate.
-In the Andes, it is mostly dry & sunny, but can get pretty chilly at higher altitudes.
-The Amazon features humid weather characteristic of a rainforest.

Is travel insurance required?

It's mandatory to give proof of medical insurance to immigration officers upon entry, to cover you throughout your stay in case of emergency, and it's not included in the cost of your trip

Do you offer insurance?

We kindly ask our travelers to arrange their preferred insurance. While we do not offer insurance directly, please feel free to contact us for recommendations of options that work well in Ecuador.

When is payment due?

For confirmation of your booking we require a payment of 10% of the tour to guarantee the spaces. (This payment is not refundable)

40 % should be paid 60 days prior the start of the tour to confirm reservations.

Full payment must be received 30 days prior to the beginning of your tour.

These conditions may vary depending on third parties policies (Galapagos Cruises, Amazon Lodges, among others) or if your tour is in high season.

Cancellation charges are applicable and are outlined in the “Terms and Conditions” section of this website.
